【About the Brand】:
For the design of the space dedicated to SHI YUN Fried chicken, we took inspiration from the “Logo Standard Font” and “Logo Color” designed by Hao Chun (a graphic designer). Our aim was to envision a visual design that exudes tradition, street vendor vibes, and a touch of vintage charm. How could we complement these visual elements in spatial planning?
【About the Design】:
“From a distance, it looks like an ordinary roadside stall next to the residential arcade, but upon closer inspection, this roadside stall seems rather cool.” We wanted the space to give consumers a slightly retro yet trendy experience. Drawing on the standard font of the SHI YUN’s logo and the two neon signs that evoke a strong vintage Hong Kong vibe, we selected terrazzo floor tiles, white and red mosaic for the counter complemented by wavy boards, galvanized iron sheets for the walls, and industrial pendant lights for the lighting. To add a finishing touch, we hung an antique wall clock and a string of red and white beads. Through these strongly vintage materials and decorations, we elevated the retro ambiance of SHI YUN’s to a more contemporary and trendy level.
