For Ivory & Peter, who love their home and their dog, letting Tofu roam freely inside and outside the house has always been something eagerly anticipated. In urban life, it’s challenging to create a space where dogs can run around freely, and that’s why they chose to buy a villa on the mountains.
Why deep sea blue? Deep sea blue is a tone that carries a sense of freedom yet tranquility. When deep sea blue appears alongside gray-white and deep brown in the space, they collectively exude a subtly gentle and luxurious atmosphere. We believe that to interpret a villa on the mountains, escaping the hustle and bustle of the city, the freedom and vastness of the sky and sea represented by the blue color is the best choice.
In addition to blue, an open and flexible space is also a crucial concept. We blur the relationship between the living room, dining room, and kitchen, prioritizing visual openness over functionality in our spatial considerations. In terms of functionality, we consolidate functions and storage on one vertical surface of the TV wall. At first glance, it appears to be a blue wall, but it incorporates doors, cabinets, and the entrance to the second floor. Simultaneously, it becomes a key element in enhancing the aesthetic sense of spatial layers. Each opening and closing shapes a unique scenery, adding liveliness and detail to the space.
The tranquil deep sea blue brings freedom and serenity to this home. Paired with an open design, we hope this becomes a residence where life can be enjoyed openly.
